acupuncture is an ancient science of medicine that originated in china.
in china they use acupuncture anesthesia instead of the conventional types even fro open heart surgery.

the people walk home in few days, even after major surgery, it is unbelievable.

the needles are not that painful as it seems and it is genuine although one must find a well trained practitioner.

It worked for me, my back pain has gone, but now when I dive, my wet suit fills up with air !!!!!

I found it did nothing for me whatsoever. Cost me a lot of money too.
If you do decide to try only buy one treatment at a time. You are often persuaded to buy a block of treatments at a slightly discounted rate. However this is expensive if it doesn't work. I attended 10 sessions and felt no improvement at all. Also I found I was being asked to buy other things at each session ie herbal tea, linament, poultices etc. These were supposed to complement the therapy but I found them useless.
Putting my experience aside other people swear by the benefits of acupuncture. Not for me though, I gave it a good chance and will not consider it again.

Acupuncture when combined with chinese herbal medicine is very effective, this again depends on going to the correct chinese herbal therapist. After some recovery lifestyle changes like exercise, diet will set things Perfect.

Acupuncture works very well if you go to an authentic practitioner.
Try not to go to these high street franchises as they are rarely licenced or qualified.
Some Doctors scratch the surface of acupuncture but have only a couple of weekends to learn a little bit of it.
Go to a private and recommended Chinese acupuncturist for best results.

Had three sessions of acupuncture with three different people:
1: Placed the needles with tenderness and care (except for one in hand OUCH) great success had 4 weeks pain relief.
2: Was in a hurry and not too caring lasted 48hrs.
3: Novice at the job but was really a believer and had great results. Pain free for 3 months

No but my friend did and it cured her migraines.
