Anybody with MS....please help(acupuncture)?

Hello,
I have been diagnosed with MS for about 10 years. I have alot of pain and weakness, all of the time. So i decided to try acupuntchure. And aslo, I went to the chiropractor. It seems like 2 to 3 hours after I get this done, the pain is ten times worse, and puts me on the couch for days. (I have only tried both of these once). I am up to anything to get rid of some of this pain. They tell me to drink water after i get this done. They say its all the toxins in my body making me sick after the treatment. I was wondering if anyone else has expirenced this, and if i should stick to doing it. Maybe over time it will help with the pain. In advance thank you for all of your suggestions and commets.

I used to get acupuncture for pain a couple of years ago, it started off well, I had more energy and a bit less pain. After about 4 months it stopped being as effective so I stopped going.
I started seeing a chiropractor about a month ago twice a week with fantastic results. My lower back nerve pain has stopped for the 1st time in 5 years, I'm amazed! My ribs are being pulled out of alignment due to the spasticity in my muscles and it causes horrific pain but this is also getting better. Each visits adjustment is lasting longer and the pain is more tolerable.

My mom had the same experience with chiropractic manipulations and massage therapy. Both practitioners thought the pain would not continue to occur after one or two more treatments. It didn't work out that way for my mom - she discontinued these treatments after one more visit with the chiro and two more visits to the massage therapist. We don't know what would have happened if she had stuck with it a little longer, but she was too uncomfortable to try it again.

My wife does not have MS, and she sometimes ends up with soreness after a massage or chiropractic manipulation, but it doesn't seem to be very severe pain - just soreness for a day or two.

I have had MS for many years. I have always had GREAT results with chiropractic care.I have never tried acupuncture I don't believe that chiropractic should be painful.I have had some sore muscles after but I usually try to do some stretching first..maybe this will limber you up enough to make it less painful.
Good luck
