Has anyone had Acupuncture Ear Beads?

I was just wondering if anyone has tried ear beads. I am going to the acupuncture therapist for anxiety and HPB. I mentioned the weight gain associated with the meds and she told me that we might try ear beads. Just curious if anyone else has tried. BTW - I realize diet and exercise are the best ways to lose weight but when you are on these meds it goes very slow if at all. Just looking for anyone who has tried this. Thanks!

There are many different points on the ear that acupuncturist treat for certain ailments. There are lso many different beads or pellets that may be used. Normally the practitioner will use different properties of the metal to treat different things. For instance they would sedate a point to stop hunger and smoking sensation. Here are the normal options for pellets/beads:

Gold = stimulating
Silver = sedating
Titanium = balancing
Stainless Steel = balancing

They may also use an all natural seed to stimulate certain points on the ear or body. This type of treatment is very common in the acupuncture field.
