I need to know if Acupuncture will induce labor please help?

I tried EVERYTHING and still had to be induced so i dont belive any of that stuff they say works really does-kristy

Well I'm 28 weeks pregnant, but when I was 20 weeks I had pain in my ankle, and went to my acupunturest to have it worked on, and she told me she could not work on it, because the same spot I had the pain, were points known for inducing labor, and she did not want to take the chance. However, she said that she had done it on several people before, and it never had worked for her, so she thinks with the baby is ready to come, it will come.

Hope this helped.

Acupuncture, like astrology, is quite unknown in our society. In my opinion, both come from a civilization that appeared a long time ago before ours and that had developed a way of curing in harmony with mother nature, due to their interest in observing it and respecting it. Frankly, I am really convinced that antibiotics make much more harm to your body that just some needles on your skin.

Hi,
I don't think that actually works. Most of those 'inducing treatments' are just a way to get money from desperate moms to be who can't wait any longer to see their baby!!If you are very overdue and want to be induced, Ask your doctor to do it for you. If you are not very overdue or not overdue, The best thing to do would be to just let the baby come out in its own time. Oh, and I wish you an early congratulations!
Good luck,
Hope this has helped.

It is like everything else - just a technique that may or may not work. When I was over 40 wks I researched this thoroughly and basically you can't make your body do anything.

I wouldn't pay the money. Save the money for diapers! You'll need it!

i dont think so its just another service that bilks hopeful moms out of much needed money.labor will come when you and baby are ready.and if your too over due the dr will take things into her own hands
