Does botox on the forehead reduce the effect of acupuncture? |
I have been making use of the low cost of procedures in a foreign country. I got botox on my forehead. I am thinking of getting acupuncture just for the "feel good" effect. My question is, will the botox on my forehead minimize the effect of the acupuncture? Botox can potentially have a negative effect on the outcome of acupuncture treatment. There is a similar negative effect with acupuncture therapy shortly after cortisone injections have been administered. Botox actually works by paralyzing the muscles with a small amount of botulism, a toxin produced by a bacteria that lives in the soil (Clostridium botulinum) It should not matter. The botox works on the muscles while the accupuncture works on the energy meridians, they should not counteract eachother but you may make a call to your accupuncturist and ask just to make sure. It might but even worse it could give you brain damage. I'm not kidding. Take a look at the link below. |
