Can RSD can be cured by acupuncture? What are the other treatments???

Most RSD/CRPS patients can't handle acupuncture because it is too painful, and often times can make the pain spread. There is no cure for RSD/CRPS that is why it is considered a chronic pain condition, but there are treatments out there that can put a patient into remission. A few other treatments include sympathetic blocks, physical therapy, spinal cord stimulators, IV infusions, epidural catheters, and there are several other treatments, by working with your doctor you can decide what treatment is the best for you to try. CRPS/RSD will not be cured by Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. However, the condition, the severity of symptoms, can often be helped by Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

As with ANY medical therapy, there is no definitive way to determine how an individual will respond. One treatment is not often a good way to determine response. As an acupuncturist, I always ask new patients to allow for a minimum four treatments before we assess their response to the therapy process.
