Does acupuncture really work? Will it get rid of tension headaches caused by neck pain that doesn't go away.

I have a hard time believing that acupuncture could work, but if I had a pain that I could not get rid of I would be open to trying anything. An opinion won't help you, you just have to try it.

I recently discovered that I suffer from cervicogenic headaches which are caused through bad posture of the neck (in my case it's from excessive study with school etc) and I was referred to a physio. On my second visit I had acupuncture and amazingly it worked pretty well. I didn't completely fix the pain in my neck but it certainly helped (and I'm sure more sessions would improve it even more). I'd also recommend having a physio check it out and see if massage could help. It's working for me so hopefully if you think it's worth trying out it will help you too. :)

My husband swears by accupuncture. He's used it with good result for back pain and headache. As I see it, what can it hurt to try? It seems that it's like every other method of pain management. It works for some people and not others. As fr as acupuncturists go, the one thing I would NOT recommend trying is cupping.

it should do.

at my work experience they did it and i got it explained to me.

something about natural pain relief being released. i forgot.

but anyway they all said it is really effective and if done properly can be like amoracle cure but remember it doesnt work for everyone.

worth a try tho =)

Acupuncture does work. My doctor switched from general practice to acupuncture so he was sold on it.

You'll have to try it to see if it gets rid of tension headaches and relieves your neck pain.

Yes. In fact I just now got home from an acupuncture session. That method of treatment has done more for me than all the "regular" doctors I have been to.
