Does gender affect one's perception regarding Acupuncture? |
Acupuncture and Gender In all trials there are no differences between males and females in the acupuncture treatment; Women tend to be less logical, and have less scientific backgrounds, so may be more open to quackery and other non-sensical faith based belief systems. Only the perception of the giver and/or receiver will affect the outcome of acupuncture. I think women in general tend to be more open about holistic health or alternative health therapies. Most men rarely, if ever, go to the doctor. |
