Does acupuncture help drug addiction?

I have heard that acupuncture can help in stopping addiction and I was wondering if this was true.
Where can I find studies & research that was done on this.
Personal testimonies would also be interesting (either by you or from a website)

I have a friend who went to an acupuncturist to stop smoking and never touched a cigarette again.

It is extremely refreshing and relaxing. I think staying stress free and keeping your energy up is important in fighting addiction and acupunture in my exeprience has done that, relaxed me and given me lots of energy.
