Can acupuncture work for food sensitivities?

Can acupuncture work for food sensitivities?
I have a sensitivity to wheat, eggs and rice.
Can acupuncture cure those sensitives? Has anyone ever tried that?

I am not an acupuncturist, but I do know a little about food lectins. This protein type substance is present on basically all foods. To a lot of people (especially Type O blood people), the wheat gluten lectin causes agglutination ( sticky clumping) by red blood cells. This can have an inflammatory response that can localize in various body systems, specifically, respiratory, gastrointestinal and skeletal (joints). I would guess that you are a Type O blood individual. Since you are basic antigen free, you body is most likely hypersensitive to most allergens. I am a little surprised at a sensitivity toward rice.

The concept of acupuncture is to free up Chi for the body to heal. I suppose it could work. I suspect it would have to be routine thing.

Absolutely!

I help patients resolve problems with food sensitivities all the time.

If you've had long-term problems, expect it to take up to a year before you have complete relief. Also expect to have significant improvement within the first couple treatments.

Without being able to give you a complete diagnosis, it's difficult to know how your body may respond. On average, most patients require 6-15 treatments over a few months, are prescribed an herbal formula to take continuously for at least 6 months, and are given dietary guidelines to follow in order to expedite the healing of their digestive weakness.
