Equine Therapy and Acupuncture as a career?

I was more interested in Acupuncture but I read you need to be a vet but they are trying to change that. Does anyone know if you still have to be a vet?

My 2nd choice is Equine Therapy. I am having a hard time finding much online as far as schools/collages for this go. Any links would be great!

I have also heard of magnet and other therapy's I am interested in. Do they go along with Massage therapy? Where can I look into these?

As far as I know, you need to be a licensed vet to practice acupuncture only in some states. So far, it isn't a law in every state yet, though they are trying to slowly get it passed so that you need to be licensed vet to practice acupuncture. So if you were interested in that field you should just check which states you need to be a vet in and which you don't.

For equine massage therapy, that's a really neat idea! They make a lot of money and it only takes about 4 years or so of schooling and/or apprenticing under another massage therapist. It's becoming more and more popular. Anyway, here are some links for schools:

...many others. Just google "equine massage schools" and lots of schools pop up.

I don't know about magnet therapy, but it could probably be incorporated into massage therapy. There are also acupressure, theta healing techniques, and herbal remedies that are sometimes used along with massage therapies. So you might find it interesting to look into some of those too. Good luck!
