what are the meridian point of the acupuncture In acupuncture there are 12 main organ meridians and 8 extraordinary meridians. Each of the 12 regular merdians have the following categories of points: Jing-Well, Ying-Spring, Shu-Stream, Jing-River, He-Sea, Xi-Cleft, Luo-Connecting, Yuan-Source and points for each element (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water). There are also Front-Mu points, Back-Shu points, Window of the Sky points, Four Seas points, Influential points and Four Command points. Of the 8 extra meridians only Ren and Du have their own points, the other 6 share points with the 12 main meridians. The 12 regular merdians are Lung-11 points, Large Intestine-20 points, Stomach-45 points, Spleen-21 points, Heart-9 points, Small Intestine-19 points, Urinary Bladder-67 points, Kidney-27 points, Pericardium-9 points, San Jiao-23 points, Gall Bladder-44 points, and Liver-14 points. The 8 extra merdians are Ren-24 points, Du-28 points, Yang Qiao-13 points, Yin Qiao-6 points, Chong-18 points, Yin Wei-8 points, Dai Mai-3 points and Yang Wei-16 points.
