Acupuncture for migraine?

Has anyone successfully gotten relief from migraine through acupuncture? I am talking about people who, like me, get them almost daily, and they are so severe that they are debilitating. I have only about 2 to 3 days a week without one. I invested in three months of acupuncture (twice a week) and chinese herbal medicine, with a man who had all the right licenses and was on the GW faculty for medicine, and got no relief. Should I have continued? I hope someone out there with a similarly severe condition can shed light on this.

i too get migraines alot and they are wicked things when they come. when mine come i sometimes cannot get out of bed due to the pain and other symptoms. I did try acupuncture last year and i found that it didn't take the migraines away completely but it did make them less severe than they had been. i stopped my acupuncture after about 5 months as the lady that was treating me was leaving the province but it did help some
i hope that this helps you

I understand the pain/inconvenience of migraines. Try acupuncture to see if it works for you. I've also heard of biofeedback. Do you take prevention medicine for migraines (i.e. Inderal)? Works for me.
Try Reiki
I used to get them weekly but I have been getting acupuncture at my cyros. office. They seem to help I only get them once per month now and they are not as bad. and can usually get rid of it by taking some meds and a little sleep.
Hi,,, I have a cousin in law,, her Dad does this acupuncture,,, it seems to work for her.... no kidding... it also helped her quit smoking.....

The down side.. is you have to have it done more than once in a while... and I have been told (it hurts) ......

Good Luck..........
It has worked for a few people I know. It is worth the try but after 10 tries or so I'd give up. Though acupunture works its also a mind over matter thing. If you are tense and do not feel a chg I'd try biorhythm
