Acupuncture headache question?

I know there is the spot between your thumb and finger that if you hold down is supposed to relieve your headache. Im not sure how long your supposed to do this though. I have done it and while im holding it it helps alot but as soon as i let go its back.

Also, more importantly i know iv seen online maps of acupuncture spots, where to press etc to relive certain pains but cant seem to find any now...

It works best if you lay down and have some one else pinch between you finger and thumb
Squeeze your thumb and forefinger together, forming a ridge above the thumb. The point you need is in the middle of that ridge, just above the end of the crease formed by thumb and forefinger. This is a good point for most problems from the waist up. There are other points, and some for specific types of headaches are different - I'd suggest you look into it; doing a yahoo search on acupoints or acupressure.

Edit - check out this site - there are some simple diagrams. :)
