Does acupuncture cure spinal pain?

I have got a spinal problem and i need to know if it will affect my legs?

There was some tentative evidence that traditional acupuncture is useful for people who have acute (lasting less than 3 months) low back pain. Acupuncture is an effective treatment for chronic low back pain but the effects are small and it is not certain whether these are maintained for a year or more. It appears to provide an additive effect when added to other treatments for low back pain. It is not associated with serious side effects. Acupuncture appears to be more effective than usual care, but less effective than spinal manipulation.

Spinal pain is caused by something being wrong with the spine.. this could be anything from a pulled muscle to a dislocated disk, all acupuncture can do is to relax the muscle in certain areas or increase blood flow.. so for some pains it could work but for others it will just be an expensive experiment. It all depends on what is wrong with your spine or back. as to whether it will affect your legs all depends on what is wrong with you and how good the acupuncturist is.. best advice I can give is to see a doctor

It sure doese work, well, at least for me.
I had a bit of a motor-bike accident, followed by a water-skiing
bump a small few fears ago, and acupuncture treatment did much more good than general treatment through the good old NHS.
I don't knock them, but after a tad of relatively cheap acupuncture, I am now back up going to the lake on a big motorbike.
So all is well.

It doesn't cure it but it enables the body to deal with it.
It will depend on the nature and the cause. For general pain that is not related to specific deterioration it will probably help tremendously. But if it is from external trauma that has forever altered your bones, then it will very much help but not cure. I had a terrible MVA 4 yrs. ago and required extensive L-4/L-5 surgery and reconstruction. I went to the Acupuncturist the same day I got out of the hospital and she had me back to walking 4-5 miles a day in 3 days!!! Albeit much slower than before, but now I am back to playing hockey and everything else. You may also want to investigate a good Classical Homeopath, they will track down the source of your pain and treat the "whole" you.
