Is acupuncture can be used in other field aside in the field of medicines?

You question made me think and I searched some websites. As far as I've discovered Acupuncture is used primarily for pain management and also for obesity and drug addiction. It provides relief without the need for medication and rebalances your body by "stimulating the 14 energy carrying chanels." However I couldn't find any use for it that wasn't medical. acupuncture can be used for just about anything.
I take my dog to the vetrinarian who does acupuncture on her for arthritis as well as nervousness & anxiety.

in humans acupuncture is used for pain management, emotional disorders like depression, anxiety, insomnia etc.
also good for PMS, menopause & infertility, digestive disorders, and many other problems.
