Does acupuncture work to increase your metabolism? And does it hurt?

My bf mom is getting acupuncture and says that it works. So I guess it does speed up the metabolism because she has lost weight, as far as pain I have no idea but I hope it doesn't hurt cuz my bf mom wants me to go with her.
Sure it increases your metabolism. It'll get your heart going when somebody jabs you with one of those needles!
Yes it helps by opening your vegas vein. It helps with many things otherwise too. It is not painfull and is very simalar to a relaxing vacation. if your in luck your guide will be hot mine was. PEACE TRY IT OR MISS OUT.

acupuncture shouldn't hurt, if it does find a different practitioner because that one doesn't know what he is doing
I dont think it helps metabolism.
