SELF-Acupuncture: Is there such a thing?

Do you need a license? Where would you get the needles? How would they know you're acupuncturing yourself and nobody else? Would they even care? When an acupuncturist wants acupuncture, do they see another acupuncturist? Do they acupuncture themselves? Lots of questions I know. ... Thanks

Yes, there is such a thing.

Yes, you still need a license.

From somebody who sells to acupuncturists with a license.

They won't.

Probably not.

Yes.

Sometimes, if they can reach the spots.
Don't believe there is a SELF-Acupuncture but there is a book out on pressure points on the body that you can do yourself. You may check the library.
you can do self-accuppressure I know. it's the same stuff but done without needles, not sure on how it compares in effectiveness. . .
Acupuncturists are the same as massage therapists they go see one another and trade off on each other for treatment. I think it is hard to do acupuncture on yourself, very tricky to get the same affect. Yes you need a license in most states or at least a certificate saying you finished a qualified training course. You can check online that should fall under alternative medicine. Or ask an acupuncturist they are more than happy to answer questions. Just call a shop near you and make an appointment to talk to them. Tell them you are researching the subject and they will help you out!
in addition to doing acupressure on yourself, there is a good book called Energy Medicine by Donna Eden which has all kinds of energy exercises and points that you can use on yourself. I've been doing them and they're pretty great.
