Chropractor or acupuncture is best for my neck and back pain? |
Chropractor or acupuncture is best for my neck and back pain? my friend swears by acupuncture, try both, and then decide. I've heard of some bad chropractors actually hurting your bone structure so in later years you feel the effect. Good luck I go to a chiropractor and it works great. I've never had accupuncture but I'm not against it. Don't let anyone tell you chiropractors aren't real Dr.'s, they are. Go to a MD and he'll give you medicine. I think we put enough stuff in our bodies so I let the Chiropractor do his thing. Chiropractor, they work wonders. I have a girlfriend that went to the chiropractor and she raves about it. I have a co worker that gets accupuncture and she loves it too. She is really into wellness and spirits and ying and yang.So she thinks its great. I guess you can do well with either one. Good Luck!!! Chiroprators can cause dissection of stiffened blood vessels with the worst case scenario being a 'stroke', if you are young fit and healthy then you can foget the last comment, but should you suffer with high cholesterol or hypertension then i would be wary when it comes to neck manipulation, make sure they are fully registered and qualified first, personally i would go for acupuncture as it is low risk and also it can make you feel quite nice and chilled out as a side effect. It's a matter of trial and error. I suggest you try the one you are more comfortable with now, and then if it is not successful, try the the other, Don't know much about accupuncture, although since most of what we know about Western muscle releiving was also learned through trial and error, Far Easterner's much older techniques quite possibly hold some weight. It really depends on what is bothering you. The accupuncture will make the sessions spiritual-ish, and also if you're afraid of needles then that's a no go. The chiropractor will be very systematic. But repeated sessions with these probobly isn't the best answer. For some, it may be the only, but if you're having chronic muscle or back pains, perhaps look into a new sleeping arrangement, posture modifiers, better shoes, and stretching exercises. |
