Benefits of acupuncture? |
I am considering acupuncture to reduce my overall stress level. I am just wondering if this works. The treatments are about 60.00 each and I want to make sure I am not throwing my money down the drain. Any thoughts? when it comes to stress or healing of any nature,,,,,it is all up to your own openess to cure it as to what works. im stationed in korea where acupuncture is prevalent and soooo much cheaper and again, i say the same thing......healing of oneself is based mostly on one's own mind to heal itself rather than the procedures offered. good luck and go with your heart as to what will "cure" you of stress. marjenl72 it works for some and not for others, if you have doubts it likely wont work all that well for you as lots of the effect are mental. my mom has had acupuncture many times and she says whenever they put needles on her head, it can get rid of the worst migraines and always tells me that she feels relaxed after. You can try finger-puncture by pressing certain acu- points located on your body. It works for me but because I am not an expert in this, the relief from the finger-puncture application last only temporary , say a few hours only. You may wish to get a book on this where the locations of acu-points are shown in drawings and diagrams and the locations on the body you can apply pressure to relieve from whatever ailments you may be suffering. Finger-puncture relieves headaches, stress, backache, rheumatism but not serious illnesses like cancer. U r using ur money at right palce. The effectiveness of acupuncture in d treatment of digestive prblms, respiratory diseases, pain, neurological disorders, nausea and a range of gynaecological ailments - from premenstural syndrome 2 infertility and d menopause - has been offically acknowledged by d World Health Organization. Acupuncture is also often used 2 treat stress and stress-related conditions. Thanx.... |
