Does acupuncture hurt? (is the spelling even correct)?

Even at the first contact of needle, you know, when it pierces your skin? And also, can acupuncture help u to grow taller?... just wishin...

Yes and No.

In my experience, it all depends on where the needles are placed. Most of the needles go in and you don't even feel them - or you may feel a pleasant warm sensation.

Every now and then, however, they go in and hit on a nerve and it can really hurt - but only for a few seconds.

Once all the needles are in, you just lay there for about 30 minutes and there is no pain at all during that time.

Then they pull out the needles, and I've never felt any pain during that process either. Source(s): personal experience

I have had it done to me by a physiotherapist at the local hospital, it was supposed to alleviate my frozen shoulder but it did not work, also it did not hurt. I did not feel the needles go in, although she put about eight into various places.
I saw Gene Simmons get acupuncture last night on TV. It seemed like it hurt a little.

i don't see how it could make you grow taller, but you never know. You should do more research.

No, acupuncture doesn't hurt, the needles are very thin.
I don't think that it will make you grow taller, if it did, I would be at least 5'4" :)
it feels like a slight pinch, once the needles are in you can not feel them any more. im not sure if it can help you grow taller but i really doubt it..
It ddoesn't ever hurt me, and always helps the problem i am having tremendously. Make sure that the accupuncturist is licensed and registered and ask for a reccomendation from someone you know/trust. The more you relax and trusst the person, the better it will go! NO! You will not grow taller...how old are you?!!!!!
