Anyone had acupuncture for back pain? Is it expensive?

my dr wants me to have a pain block and I would prefer no drugs. I have tingling on my right arm,leg and foot from my nerves.

I have had some relief from pain but not to much from nerve problems. Over all it was worth it for my pain. Don't have to take as much pain meds. It is expensive I think but I have insurance so that was not an issue for me. Good luck
acupuncture can help for back pain, but it is not a one time treatment, you may need anywhere between 5-10 treatments at anywhere from $40-60 each. even without insurance that's only about $600, which may be a lot to some people, but if you dont want an invasive procedure and it works --- IMO its a good thing.
inisurance doesn't pay for everything anyway.
you would have to pay something for that nerve block and there is no way to know if that would be effective either.

just be prepared to know that if you are going to do it, that you should be open to trying it a good 5-10 times. if you are better in 3 times, great, if you are no better in 8 times, then dont continue... but if at say 6 times its 50% better, keep going...

hope that helps
i have had acupuncture and practice it myself.
i am also a chiropactor.
