Has anybody tried acupuncture? did it work?

absolutely. as you may already know( as a virgo you've probably done a bit of research already) the theory behind acupuncture and the other "energy based practices" is that underlying our physical level is an energy matrix which, among other tasks, delivers appropriate energy to the physical level to keep it functioning. when the energetics are "off" symptoms appear at the physical level. so, a good place to deal with symptoms, or better yet, work to ward off illness entirely, is that energy body. the acupuncturist works with that body to balance it and adjust it in ways that will alleviate the problem(s). also she may recommend "energy medicines"--homeopathic, herbal, etc.to aid the overall process. you, of course, can also do energy work for yourself via reiki, jin shin jyutsu, yoga, meditation, chi kung, tai chi etc. also you might find www.sahajayoga.com helpful. the energy accessed there is quite good. and try the book *the complete idiot's guide to toltec wisdom* for some interesting meditations, and a very clear explanation of how to understand the workings of consciousness, and keep from having your mind run your life and drive you nuts (perhaps especially good for intelligent, busy brained virgos :-) i have virgo rising, so i can say these horrible things). i hope this helps a bit. btw the needles don't "hurt". best of luck

yes, if the person you go to is good, then it will work and make you feel better. I had some pain in my legs, went for a few sessions, the pain went away. It was also very relaxing.Just research the person you want to go to, make sure they are licenced and have all of their permits.
