How long has acupuncture been around? Anyone know the exact dates?

I need to know the exact dates of when it was first used because I am doing a presentation on acupuncture. Thank You.

Well accupuncture is an outgrowth of Taoism. Taoism is about 5000 years old.

Huang Ti (the yellow Emperor) wrote the first book in internal medicine around 2445 BCE.

Accupuncture was supposedly developed over hundreds of years by warriors being hit in these 705 accupuncture points by arrows, swords, etc and the mapping of the energy pathways (meridians) was recorded.

I think the first instance of accupuncture with the full map of the meridians, AND technology to make the needls goes back aroud 500-600 years.
