Has anyone had acupuncture to help you quit smoking? |
Does it really work? To quit smoking, you need to make two considerations. First, you have to deal with the cravings, which are from the physical addiction to the chemicals in cigarettes. Second, you have to address the habit or the behavior of smoking. The cravings can easily be addressed with acupuncture, it does work for this. On the other hand, the behaviors - things like smoking after a meal, lighting up when you are stressed, etc - are a completely different issue. You will have to make the effort to form new habits to replace smoking. It is like that old saying, "you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink." The role of the acupuncturist is to make YOUR job of quitting easier. If you are determined, the acupuncture therapy can make the process of quitting go more smoothly for you. Also, acupuncture therapy can help your lungs and body begin to detoxify, reduce stress and improve your general health. Good luck to you. I HAD IT DONE,STILL SMOKIN. NOTHING IS GOING TO WORK IF YOU DON'T WANT TO STOP. BEEN SMOKIN FOR 46 YRS. Smoking cessation is something that you have to make up your mind to do...I have had acupunture and did not stop however I tried hypnosis and did not smoke for almost 11 years.. Yes, acupuncture does really help you to quit smoking. Not only that, it also improves your health in many other ways including relieving your stress. http://acupuncture-help.blogspot.com... |
