Has anyone tried acupuncture. I want to try, but am unsure.?

I would like relief from severe sinus and allergy problems.

I would try it. The amazing thing about acupuncture is that it has the ability to "open up" your body through small points to clear up blockages. It can really help with circulation. I have tried it, and it worked for other things, but I would think it would work great for sinus problems.
I live in Taiwan, where people do acupuncture regularly. The clinics are very busy.
I am sure any second now there will be a western doctor that answers your question and tells you to forget it, and maybe by western medical standards we have no way of measuring the benefits of acupuncture, but there has to be a reason why its popularity has endured thousands of years.

me personally havent tried it. but my boyfriends mom did it, she said " it was so awesome!" haha. so im guessing it doesnt hurt and really does work? haha i would definately try it tho!

I had it for weight loss and it didn't work.
acupuncture works. if you go to an acupucturist with sinus and allergy problems, he/she will probably add a nutritional/herbal regimen to your treatment. nothng wrong with being "unsure",(there's a reason for it), just don't let skepticism and prejudice keep you from trying new things. it might work very well for you. it's been working in China for 2,000 years!

Try better with medication for allergies. FDA has serious research about this problems. Chinese medicine is not methodological rigorous like FDA. You can find this medication online. Try here:

I had it once for an aching arm and found it made it MUCH worse (ie I couldn't lift my arm for days without a deep ache). I was told I was a strong reactor to it and have never tried it again. I also had some blood when the needle came out and some bruising (which is not supposed to happen)

Last year I had a Dr friend who used to get free weekly massages from a guy (who was a chinese surgeon) and tried to get me to try it again. They think it was maybe the person who did it to me was not very good.....I would maybe be temped if it was in my back...not my arm (and I have a needle phobia too!!!!). I think it may be beneficial, if you get the right person to do it.
