In what countries can acupuncture be practiced without being a medical doctor? |
Where can I find information on the acupuncture laws of countries? What countries do not regulate or prohibit acupuncture? Has anyone done a survey of the acupuncture laws of countries worldwide? Or of countries in specific regions? More importantly, what countries have a demand for good acupuncture, are underserved, allow acupuncture by non-MD practitioneers, and offer an acupuncturist a respectable living? The US and almost every other country. You do not have to be a medical doctor to go to acupuncture school and be licensed. Depending on the State you want to get the license in you may or may not even have to have a college degree. I do know in the State of Texas you need a 4 year degree and then 2 years at Acupuncture school. My husband was going to do this a few years ago. You don't have to be an MD,here in the states. Acupuncture is a licensed alternative medical art,each state has it's own regulations. USA you can get an acupuncturist license without being an MD.
