Has anyone ever tried acupuncture for IBS w/consipation and bloating?


Or do you have any "cures" for bloating. My stomach hasn't been it's normal size for a few years now. And the bloating varies everyday. I've tried herbal pills to help w/ the constipation, but I still have bloating :(

You are probably eating the wrong foods. Start taking notice of everything you eat and the effect it has on your bloating and other symptoms. Try and figure out which foods are causing the problem and eliminate them from your diet. You could get tested for allergies as well, a kinesiologist will do this. The most likely suspects are white flour, sugar, and/or dairy products.

Acupuncture does help, plus your acupuncturist will help you to identify the problem and speak to you about your diet/nutrition.
I've never tried acupuncture for IBS but I have several friends who used to have IBS very badly and took a lot of strong meds to help get by. One by one they started drinking mangosteen juice and now IBS is a thing of the past for each of them. They honestly couldn't be happier.
