Have you considered asking your girlfriend? She might share her understanding with you. That's what friends do. Or is she difficult to communicate with she is very busy? I'm a nurse. She could be getting this for a number of reasons. People use this method for pain management mostly. The literally stick the needles all over if they need to depending on where the discomfort and/or pain is. It's also called trigger point. It's like a block to the nerve to relieve pain, and yes it really works. Also people use this to relax. I hope this gives you some idea of what goes on. Ask her to take you with her, who knows, you might be scheduling an appointment for yourself.
Well I don't exactly know the answer to that question but girls say that the needles make their skin feel a nice tinge ling feeling. To be honest I don't really know, it could just be a thing that you like or you don't like.
