Does anybody have experience of acupuncture treatment for plantar fasciitis? |
My chiropodist has recommended acupuncture treatment as my foot is not responding to any other form of treatment which, so far, consists of orthotics. I had this very painful problem in my heel. I went to physio and he worked on it then told me to press the heal on something hard, like the edge of a hearth and work it for a while. Do this every day. My partner also worked on the heal and eventually the pain went and has never returned. The Doctor can also help by giving an injection, like the one given for tennis elbow, but I think the above was the better option. Hope this helps youlady.....the only accupunture experience i have is pricking myself with a needle full of heroin No. I would see a podiatrist! that's ridiculous, who is your chiropodist.......daffy duck?. it is when the fascia separates from the bottom of your foot. this needs to re-attach, then stretching and strenghthening needs to take place. email me if you want more. person trainer, long distance runner, and sufferer for years....well i'm better now...thanks to my own intelligence. I had it for a long time - I don't know if it was a coincidence, but I noticed improvement when I started rolling my bare foot around on top of a golf ball - someone else recommended this to me and it seemed to work where various drugs failed. I also stretched my foot on a regular basis. |
