Has any one personal experience on hypnosis or acupuncture with weight loss? |
i have a cronic back problem and have had spinal surgery twice im not allowed to do any real kind or exercise that would make a differance,i have lost some but not enough that im happy with it would be great if someone could let me know about these treatments I used self hypnosis to lose a 122 lbs. Now I have also used a structure eating program with this as well. At the end of the day, hypnosis or not, it is still a calorie in has to be less than calorie out equation. There is a large mental element to weight loss. Your self image has tremendous bearing on your success. How do you see yourself and can you see yourself being successful. This is where hypnosis can really help. Personally I would avoid the group sessions. Just my preference but I don't think the one shot deal is really effective. I would go either with self hypnosis or using a qualified hypnotherapist. As a guy with over 300 hours of training on the topic and personally successful in losing weight, I have got a pretty good feel for the topic. My personal approach is to combine the hypnosis with a some sort of structured program. As you replace the bad habit, you have have good ones to fill in. Hypnosis is a great way to help change habits. I used Weight Watchers. Interesting thing is that many of the approaches you would take in hypnotherapy are found on what they call Tools for Life. |
