Questions about allergies to cats and eggs--? |
My daughter (9 month old) had a blood test done and scored a 1.58 for cats, 5.7 for milk and 12.3 for eggs. I was wondering what is the highest score possible, would keeping the cat shaved help, and what your opinion is about eliminating eggs from everything (baked goods) or just avoiding eggs by themselves? On a scale of 7 (average) 7 being an allergy, cat is fine, milk you should scale back a bit and eggs cut out. The cat has to go.It is not the hair itself it is the saliva of the cat;the air bothers due to the cat licking its fur.As for the eggs, it is imperative you read every label on everything- including medicine,tell every person who cares for your child including clinics.A nurse almost gave my child a shot that contained egg protein(chicken pox vacc.) that could have been a disaster.Read up on both allergens and the reactions.Ask your Allergist for an epi pen Jr. in case of emergency.Good Luck it is very possible to live without eggs and cats. |
