Milk allergies?

When I was younger, I had a milk allergy. A few months ago I could eat cereal and milk, and cheese with no problems. Yesterday I ate cereal and milk and had cramps, gas, and diarrhea. Today I ate cheeseburger mac and I had the same symptoms. I also had a Whopper Jr. with cheese and had the same symptoms but not as bad and no diarrhea. The symptoms are usually really bad. Is this something I should go to the doctor? Is this a milk allergy and if so what alternatives could I eat and drink? And do you outgrow this or does it come and leave as it pleases???

A cheeseburger and got the same symptoms? This went on for just a couple days with the cheeseburgers? Either you just got a stomach bug, or extremely sensitive to lactose.

I am lactose intolerant and I get the same symptoms when i drink milk, and usually after eating ice cream and a few other things. I really don't have huge problems with cheese, and I can't imagine that if you were just lactose intolerant that one slice of cheese in a cheeseburger would bother you.

They make a milk alternative called "lactaid". It tastes pretty different (to me, although nobody else seems to notice) than milk, but is a good way to get calcium.

You should watch closely what you eat. If you keep getting sick after everything, it may just be a bug, and a doctor visit wouldn't hurt. If you seem to stop getting sick, try drinking some milk and see what that does.

Hope I helped a little!

it's not a milk allergy most likely, just a sensitivity to milk sugar... lactose intolerance.

lactaid, or its generic equivalent, works well...
