Allergies to nuts and fruits, why?

why do some of us get these allergies

It's an improper reaction to certain proteins. Our immune system see's them as a virus or an attacker and in doing so releases things called histamines. This causes windpipes to be blocked (shortness of breath) and imflammation of the skin and possibly an anaphylactic (ana-fa-lak-tik)shock.

The medical term for allergies is ANAPHYLAXIS. Sadly this 'hidden disease' is spreading out because of the over consumtion of processed food which means that fresher food is seen as a threat for more and more people.

I am unfortunatley allergic to nuts, fish, shellfish and fish. I have to read the packaging for everything because if I miss out that something might have nuts or fish etc. in it, it can cause a long trip to the hospital or in the worst case...DEATH.

they dont its just an excuse to eat more chocolate !! LOL

Hope that helps :)

Allergies are an improper over reaction of the immune system to things that shouldn't be a trigger. It is usually the proteins in things that cause the reactions to happen, they might get into the bloodstream by a tiny cut in the mouth or through the stomach lining and the immune system suddenly starts acting like it's a virus or other infection and swings into action to defend the body from something that it really shouldn't act up to.

Sometimes the sensitivity runs in families, but sometimes it just occurs for no obvious reason.
