Help allergies or not?

hello well to start i had a cold close to a month ago..or so i thought it was a cold...i didnt feel run down or tired or like i had a fever just a lot of nose drainage and coughing. then i thought the cold went away now i have major drainage both backwards down the throat YUCK and blowing the nose and sometimes i feel like i have to cough what in the world is it! could it be allergies or do i have a uncurriable cold?? its always worse in the morning. also at night i have a horrible time sleeping because i feel so dry, and then when i swallow i feel like my nose is draining backwards and it makes me nauseas. what is this???? anyone know.

also i am 24 and have never had allergies before that i know of.

Sounds like allergies to me. I've been suffering with those kind of symptoms for years, but what I found helps is to do sinus rinses. They don't sound appealing to most people and it's not pretty to watch lol, but help clean out your sinus cavities, without you having to take medication etc. with all the side effects that would come with those. For your symptoms the rinse is best performed before bedtime.
You can purchase sinus rinse kits like in the link below:

or something that's called Neti pot:

You can also ask your doctor about using this or check with a pharmacist.
Hope this helps.

allergies------try Mucinex and some nasal spray like Afrin
if it doesn't help see a Dr.

These symtoms do sound like you could very well have an alllergy. Just because you are 24 and never had allergies does not save you from ever having them. I was into my 60's before I showed symptoms. Why not see your doctor and have a professional give you his/her opinion.

Sounds like allergies. You will have post-nasal drip with allergies. You should see your doctor. They can diagnose it with pretty much just an examination. You could try over-the-counter Zytec to see if that helps.

This could be allergies, but it could also be a sinus infection. Which is what it sounds like to me. I have had so many in my lifetime that I am best friends with them LOL. However, I found mangosteen juice. Two years and going strong-no colds, allergies, PMS, and much more. It also give you energy. If you do not want to try this (which I personally recommend) then try getting a neti pot. it is a way to help clean the sinuses and help them to get back to normal. My brother who is a singer loves it!
