Allergies, fustrated.?

I am 16 and I have extremely bad allergies,
I've been taken the same medication it seems for the last 2-3 years nose sprays, ares, reactin, claratin, netty pot, singular ect.
I miss a lot of school because i can't bear to sit in class and be unable to breath and my nose will drip. I will be like this for a while now. I also am getting my wisdom teeth out Monday and my mother fears he will not so them if i am stuffed up (would love and anser on this one please.)
Would love to know was you guys take that works. I'm just a mess for months and feel that there is a cure...

Thank you, dp

Are they seasonal allergies? Are there times of the year where the allergies are less severe? I know this may be alot to wrap your mind around....BUT. My son had allergies as well when he was younger. I tried all the nose sprays (which actually have steroids in them) and are terribly bad for your lungs. We tried the Clariton, Reaction, Sudafed, and all the rest. I finally went to a Homeopathic Doctor, and long story short he is allergy free today. It might be something you want to look into if the meds aren't working. Although homeopathic medicine is not a "quick fix", it is all natural, and will actually remove the disease from your body and not just mask and suppress it as prescription meds do.
Good luck....I know how miserable allergies can make a person!!

does your mom use regular cleaning products at home? sometimes people with allergies are sensitive to the chemicals found in most cleaning products. suggest to your mom to switch to products with natural ingredients and little or no odors...you can find some here: www.shaklee.net/joeandsandra

not trying to make a sales pitch, but i know this stuff helps

i have got allergies as well and have been going through the same situation . I find that neo clariton or piriton helps with the allergy and eye drops help

I have had allergies every since I can remember. They suck. I know how it is to have tried all types of medicines and have none of them work.

You should definitely talk to you doctor about being tested for allergies and then receiving allergy shots. The test is painless, but very annoying. They will scratch rows on your back then place drop of serum from almost every allergen possible. ALMOST. Then you will sit there for an hour or more. The nurse or doctor will monitor the reaction your skin has to these drops. If your allergic it will turn red, swell up and itch. Then you'll talk about allergy shots. I got mine twice a week. It is so worth it. I didn't finish my scheduled shots though and have noticed my allergies coming back with a fierceness.

I definitely recommend allergy shots. Honey from the area you live in will also help. It's the same principle as the shots you just ingest the allergen. Also food allergies and animal allergies are not helped with allergy shots.

why dont you talk to your doctor about getting allegy shots!
i have started taking them since october it was two shots once a week for like six months then its just once a month
i do feel better than before ...i will be on this for three years
its better to be miserable 3 years than all your life! but to see an improvement you have to be consistant.

umm the medication that i am taking right now is waltin-D is non drowsy and it will keep you awake all day so you might want to take it inthe mornings never at night and nasonex is good too. Try alavert is also non drowsy and it comes in different flavors! and its cheweble yes it tastes nasty but it works well with me!!

dont get any medication that makes you drowsy those make me depressed!!!

Good Luck!!
