Is it allergy? cat...or bodylotion? |
My skin has been itching for about two weeks. Everywhere. It is not soo bad, but it irritates. It started at the same time as I got a cat, but there are no flees (anylonger) and I ave also had a treatment against scabies and washed all my clothes etc. Can it be an allergy towards the cat? Or can it be allergy to the cheap bodylotion that I use everyday? try webmd.com....... it could be almost anything, go without the lotion for a week and if the irriation improves tat may be that casue, the cat could be the problem as well, u may want to think about haveing an allergy test or seeing a dermatoligist...i have been thinkin the same actually...but those to thoughts of y this is may not be the casue, u could have exema and just haven't broken out until now, or it could be any other kind of allergin in the air could be cat dander: allergy testing would tell for sure. if it's the lotion did you start it the same time as the cat arrived? It could be seasonal. Many people have skin reactions in winter due to it being windy and dry. You may want to get an allergy test anyway, but if that comes negative you may want to use a mild soap and a light lotion and see if it clears up. Key thought: moisturize. It could be your cat. I am allergic to cats. I have 11 of them. I take medication for the allergies everyday, I will not give up my cats. It could just be the cheap body lotion. I would try a different lotion. Do not give your cat up, if it turns out to be your cat you can take allergy medications. I hope for your sake it is the body lotion. Sure it can be an allergy... A bodylotion to use daily: Lubriderm and for the parts irritated: Diprosone McGovern Clinic Houston TX don't know!!!! |
