I won't lie to you, you will feel a slight sting, but it is no big deal. The needle they use is very short, and thin. Good luck, and don't be afraid. Source(s): Personal experience.
no worse than any other shot =you will be okay
even if they hurt, its better to get the shots, then get an allergic reaction...its more painful to get an allergic reaction for the rest of your life other then getting small shots to save you for a lifetime.
generally all shots feel like a prick. once they're in you don't feel anything and RN's (or any other medical practioner) are trained to give shots quickly and efficiently so you won't feel it. and just think~the shots will make your allergies go away.
good luck
They sting, burn, and pinch. But nothing terrible. The relief from your allergies will overshadow anything you will feel. The first few times your arm will be sore for a while after.
No, they don't hurt. The scratch tests and prick tests can be a little painful- actually more tedious because it takes so long. The shots can hurt if the nurse jams the needle in and causes you to bruise, or if you get a reaction that makes you itch like crazy. Other than those two things, shots don't hurt. Good luck with that!
