Good dogs that cannot harm allergies???

We might get a dog and are looking for a dog with short hair/fur my brother has allergies but he's not as bad as he was. My cousin has a long haired papallion and we went to there house and my brother was perfectly fine he took medicene (i think its like zyertex or zyertec, something like that) he was fine, should we get one of these dogs (listed below) and will they harm him (before we get a dog we are going to the doctor to see if its okay)

boston terrier
begal
chihuahua
or the grey hound my mom was really intrested in

all of the dog breeds that u listed shed a lot except for the italian greyhound. they are light shedding dogs that do not shed a lot and don't have a lot of pet dander.

all dogs are great, but certain breeds like the italian greyhound are light shedders. these 2 sites, especially the first one, gives good info and has a list on those kinds of dogs.

good luck!!
:D

Some breeds are better than others for allergies. Here are a few hyoallergenic dogs you can try. I would try and find a breeder, and ask to visit their home for about twenty minutes, to see if your brother's allergies act up first before purchasing a puppy. Remember, puppies grow into dogs, and it takes a great deal of responsibility to raise one!

Bichon Frise
Border Terrier
Chinese Crested- Medium Sized (Hairless Dog)
Maltese
Miniature Schnauzer

Hope you find a pup!

I have really bad allergies and I have a poodle. They are great dogs because they don't loose hair like normal dogs do. When they do loose it, it's usually only a tiny bit and it's in a little ball. They are extremely intelligent dogs, so they are easy to train. I can cuddle up to my dog and have no problems with them affecting my allergies.

well of course i would recommend a boston terrier bc that what i have and she is great!
also have short short hair

but i know that wheaton terriers are hypo-allergenic
and anything mixed with poodle

Get one that fits YOUR lifestyle.:0)
Try the breed selector quiz and see what breed(s) show up that are right for you.
