I have food allergies to milk, soy. Also to mold, grasses, weeds, trees?

I am having a hard time with diet now that I am trying to avoid the things that are triggering my allergies. Some sort of soy or milk seems to be in alot of things. Also have a handout from my allergist stating that mold is in fruits, wines, beer, vinegar etc. I love salads but all dressings have something that is based with the things that I am allergic to. Please help me find some good foods to eat so my diet that I have to follow won't be so boring and cause me to worry about everything that I eat will throw me into an allergic reaction. I ate at Taco Bell, a mistake, had a taco and asked for it without cheese and sourcream, they put it on, I ended up scrapping it off, but an hour later I started to feel funny. Help....

I understand what you are going through. Our four year old has similar allergies. When we go to birthday parties, restaurants or anywhere outside of home I have to cook food for him. I have to be creative so that he does not feel out of place.

This is hard.

I had to give up my job so that I can fix special food for him. Friends and family members have started to understand allergies but some of them still don't understand the severity.

The best thing I can recommend is to start to learn how to fix food at home. To get varity in your diet pick foods from different cultures apart from regular American food - Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian, Mexican. Most of these food will ask you to put things that you are allergic and all you have to do is to not put these in the dish and still make it very tasty.

Good luck. Once you get to know how to cook variety of dishes you will not find anything unusual about the "new normal".

Sounds like you had an allergy test that may have given some potential false positives and the only way to know for sure whether or not the foods are problematic is an oral food challenge.

Funny, I'm on the other side of the coin, I know I'm allergic to the stuff I was tested for and my blood test gives false negatives.
