Why does everybody assume you have an allergy on yahoo answers?

No matter what the problem is and there could be over thousands of causes, why do people answer that you have allergies?? A runny nose can have so many reasons as can watery eyes,sneeze etc but everyone assumes its allergies lol

if you look online there are over 180 causes of runny nose sneezing and itching lol! i suggest everybody instead of wasting your time asking questions please just go to a doctor as mine turned out to be anxiety attacks and NOT allergies

in the case of the runny nose: it could be cold BUT IT COULD BE AN ALLERGY AS WELL.
sorry for that but it is the reality.

Thats a really valid point Missy 198... because on yahoo answers, everyone seems to think they have suddenly become doctors, with answers like that...
if im suggesting something to someone, i say
'maybe' or 'might be'
because i dont know any better.. not
'you have got' or 'it is..' etc

Ps: im gonna research on those 180 runny nose/sneezing simptoms now, coz all this week it has happened to me, and i know i dont have hayfever, i was thinking i was having a cold in the middle of summer (which i know can be poss due to bacterias around in warm weather) i just want to be sure...

I dont know I guess because alot of diffrent people or developing and all these diffrent chemicals in the air and stuff. idn but you can develope allergies any time in life but you are right there are more reasons than that but i believe they are looking at there personel expirience

because people on yahoo arent professional doctors. but when u put a bunch of symptoms together like watery eyes, sneezing and coughing then they take in to account personal experiences and it usually comes out to be allergies.

why do people assume they can come on yahoo answers and be diagnosed?
