Allergies to Fish Oil? |
I have allergies to ragweed and other grasses but yesterday I decided to start taking emulsified fish oil(to get my Omegas in since I rarely eat fish). I also decided to start running for exercise. After work I took 1Tlbs of the fish oil and a multi-vitamin and then went outside for a run. About 1/r after I returned my allergies were crazy, stuffy runny nose PND......I have been on allgegra and singulair which have controlled them thus far for the past couple months. My question is do you think it was the fish oil or the running outside that flared my allergies?? Don't know. But it's standard practice with allergic people not to start two things at the same time. So I would continue with the fish oil and hold off the running and the multi for about a week. Then take the multi, but don't run until you've had each for a week. Or, if you prefer, start with the running first. I will bet it's the running as there's a lot of pollen out now, but remember to do only one new thing within 4-7 days and keep a diary to see what happens. |
