The roof of my mouth has been really itchy for the last month and im unsure if its hayfever or a food allergy? |
I get hayfever nearly all the time. And i only usually get an itchy mouth when i eat bread. Im always gettin a blocked nose aswell and I end up sounding like i have a cold. Hi I tend to get an itchy mouth sometimes, I have all year round allergies so its probably the same with you, I would got to the doctors as he will prescribe you some allergy tablets to take, I know you can buy them in the shops but there are that many some are non drowsy, some contain other stuff etc, Apart from the time of year, the way I can tell whether it's hayfever or a cold is that the roof of my mouth is itchy with hayfever. It was particularly bad last weekend. Try anti-histamine tablets but as one of the previous answers suggests, try to avoid the ones that make you drowsy! If it only happens with bread it is probably something in the bread you eat. Try different brands of bread, maybe natural or organic recipes. i think this is definitely hayfever that you have got. I suffer really bad from hayfever and all the symptons that you have described i have. take zyctec and see what happens. Seeing a dr is a waste of money if its an allergy he will just tell you about over the counter drugs. |
