Home REMEDY for ALLERGIES!!!???

my allergies just started up today (that time of summer) and i don't want to get hooked on meds this early in the season. i usually take them when it gets REALLY bad. right now though, my nose is just constantly itchy and sore, not stuffy. are there any home remedies to counter this? (or make the effects not as INTOLERABLE!!!)

I do very well with Sinus Support and Hista Block from Nature's Sunshine. I take two of each every couple of hours until the itchiness and runny nose go away. Then I take two capsules of each morning and evening. Whenever I feel itchy or runny I take a couple. Most days two of each morning and evening are plenty.

I understand how you feel about meds.

There are couple things you can do to relieve your itchy and sore nose.

There can be numerous reasons for the nose itch. The best solution is to find out what you are allergic to and avoid it. During this time of the year it is generally pollen.

Neti-pot with saline water will be a good start. Saline water has some disinfectant qualities which help avoid growth of bacteria and reduce itchiness in the nose.

See the link below how to avoid environmental allergies.

ummm home remedis, umm Apple cider vinegar...drink a few tablesppons in warm water. A bit of horseradish or ginger added may help.

Otherwise Nettle has had some clinical studies done and 400mg every 2-3 hours helps relieve sinus allergies substantially. If you grow it have a tea, otherwise go get some from health shop.

awww... =[ I had about the same thing during allergy seasons too! I hope you feel better and this is one of the websites that told me what to do.=]
