Japanese Chin and Allergies?

My husband and I are looking to get a dog and thinking of a Japanese Ching, but the only problem is that my husband has allergies. Do people with allergies get bothered by Chins? I've also heard that they shed a lot?

It depends some on specifically what he is allergic to, whether it is saliva, or dander, or something else.

It is generally believed that people with dog allergies have a lower incidence of reactions to poodles. This may or may not be the case with specific individuals.

I haven't used them myself, but have heard many glowing reports from people who have.

Every one thinks that short haired dogs are the best for people with allergies but thats not true, short haired dogs have more dander and long haired dogs have less.

i really dont know much about the allergy tolerance but i would ask the Doctor, he should know what it is that he is allergic too.
