My baby has eczema since 2mths.allergies too!eats stage 1 foods still at 10 mths.others babies av same prob? My daughter had really bad eczema when she was little. I use to use Aveeno Oatmeal Bath's before bed to help moisturize her skin and releave any itching. my daughter is 11 months, has eczema and allergies.. but doesn't still eat stage one foods. The best way to treat the eczema is to bath her in "Aveeno Baby - Soothing baby bath treatment" every 3 or 4 times a week, and also before you put him/her to bed at night, apply vaseline to the affected areas... I find vaseline works better than any other moisturizer. As for the allergies, just don't feed her what she is allergic to.. for animal allergies though (my daughter is allergic to our cat) I was told by my pediatrician to keep her around the animal. It may make her sick now, but it also may eliminate the allergy as she grows. Yes, Hi, my nephew also got eczema since birth and we gave him soy milk; Isomil Milk Powder. It's gd for babies who got eczema. Eczema ppl can't stand hotness and dusty stuffs. It's better dun bathe him/her in hot water. Apply moisturizer after bath. Eczema can't use ordinary shower foam, we bathe for him using Non-Frangrance Shower Wash, like QV Wash or Cetaphil. It cost more than ordinary shower foam. Dun let him/her eat seafood, eggs, nuts and sampal chilli, they are sensitive to it; will feel itchy after eating. Yes, my first one did right after getting her immunized. She is now 23 and has never outgrown it. It was just one of those things that they neglected to tell me would happen with the shots. We had child services at the door because her "rash" wouldn't go away, I had to get the doctor to convince them that it wasn't a rash that was left untreated, the kids teased her at school (until I started homeschooling in 6th grade) and she was sent home from school because the nurse diagnosed her with scabies (they don't even look the same, the nurse was a nutcase). Best to use Aveeno bath. That's the only thing I could get to help at the time. My son has sever eczema, we found out that he is allergic to ALL formula and he's doing alot better. Try her on finger food. Some babies (and children!) just don't take to the soft lumps texture of stage 2 food. My son would still be on stage 1 food if I hadn't leapfrogged over stage 2 onto lumps big enough for him to pick up, and he's eight YEARS old! |
