My allergies are gonna kill me. They are bad. Can I fix it by chopping my nose off?

Let me set the scene. Im at work, completely full on allergy meds, and I am STILL a nose fluid factory. Is there another fix? OTC pills and prescription pills seem to do nothing. Im convinced that if my nose runs anymore I will become hopelesly dehydrated and turn into a Brandon shaped raisin.

Along with the other suggestions you should minimize eating and drinking foods that are known mucous producers until you get this under control. Limit your milk and O.J. intake.
While OJ is great for vitamin C it makes an individual produce a lot more flem . Milk too.
My son had a terrible slurpy nose too and he was put on Nasonex and Zyrtec and this seems to have curbed the drippy nose along with abstaining from the above ingredients.
It took a couple of weeks to see positive results.
Is it possible that you have a sinus infection too? You might need antibiotics. Make an appt. with an allergist asap.

Well thats Wierd :S but your gonna have to live with it or go to the doctors i have hay fever and it makes my eyes really itchy and nothing helps but just stayaway from what your allergic to

prescription nasal steroids, or a nasal wash kit (just recommended to me by my dr, havent tried it yet.) Theory being that a lot of this is caused by environmental irritants rather than true allergy.

hehhe whats that saying - cut your nose off to spite your face .....

i suffer bad from various allergens too, sometimes it is so bad that i get anaphylactic and have to be rushed to emergency room bcs my tongue and face swell up so bad. it really sucks when it is stuff in the air, bcs it is very hard to not breathe it all in.

if you feel the need to keep using OTC, i would suggest Nasalcrom, a nasal spray. it helps a lot. if your allergens are specific to a certain area, such as work, you should wear a paper filter mask. it might look a bit dorky, but hey, you got to breathe, and better to breathe cleaner air rather than rushing off to the hospital.

i really really suggest you should see your doctor/allergist tho for some better medication. using OTC antihistamines really can affect your health, personality, and safety around machines or driving autos. some prescription nasal spray and some prescription pills will work better.

if you run the risk of anaphylactic shock, get an Epi-Pen too, my doctor always makes sure i get a new one as soon as i have to use my current one. they kind of suck to have to use, but better than dying.

some of it may be environment.. if it is seasonal, it might be related to some pollenation of plants, so maybe you can deal with it or find the plants and try to stay away from them or get rid of them if they are in your own yard.

i had one place where it was year round, when i moved to omaha, and i never could find out what all was really doing it, but there was simply different stuff in the air and after about a year, i just had to move away. i never needed the mask anywhere else before or since, but living in omaha was just horrible for my nose and face. it was worse at work, so i had to start wearing the mask outside at work, and at home i just tried to stay inside air conditioning and never opened my windows. dont know why it was such a problem there.
