If my 6 month old has allergies to a food will she get a rash all over or can it just be on her bottom?

I fed her a baby jar of carrots and she got a rash on her bottom like she has never had before.... could it be from the carrots?

My son was 5 months old when we found out he was allergic to CARROTS too! He was so tired after he ate (his 2nd day of carrots) that he went down for a nap. I went to check on him and noticed he was breathing shallow and weird and he was sleeping on his side. So I just waited it out for about 10 minutes and checked on him again and woke him up. When I did, I found out he had hives all on the same side that he was laying on and he was barely breathing. We called the doctor and he said it was a food allergy and we gave him benadryl. I know that diaper rashes can be a sign of food allergy, but you also need to know how long you have been giving him the carrots. The allergy wont show up until the 2nd day. Oh..... This is BIG! IF he IS allergic to carrots, almost every baby food has carrots in it. You cannot give him/her any "DINNERS" like, spaghetti dinner, chicken noodle dinner, macaroni and cheese dinner, etc. All "dinners" have carrots in them. I just stuck with the plain apples and ham, apples and chicken, fruits, vegetables, and plain meats. It is actually alot healthier than the dinner baby food anyway.

well, my son was allergic to milk based formula, and we knew because he would projectile vomit the milk and get hives all over his body. so i think if it was a true allergy it would be all over. maybe it's just her delicate skin reacting with a new chemical?

she could get eather on her bottom or on her but eather way she may react to the carrots if shes alergic to them

food allergies will first be noticed around the mouth and hands.
it may be all timing and she has a yeast infection on her tush. a yeast diaper rash can look like a red bumpy rash.
