Would a bichon frise be a good dog for someone who has allergies?

Would a bichon frise dog be a good dog for someone who has allergies? My older brother has the allergies. Feel free to recommend any other breed.

Or would these be okay to have to???

Water dog
poodle
irish terrier

and do they shed alot???

i have a bichon frise dog and 3 people in my household have allergies and we all seem fine with the dog. i no a bichon frise is great with people who have allergies. there's bound to other breeds out there who dont moult but a bichon frise is one of the best dogs out there for people who suffer with allergies!!!!
plus they dont moult
hope this has helped you

Pekapoos are great for people with allergies, especially if they are at least half poodle. They are way calmer than purebred poodles as they have the calming influence of the pekenise but they don't shed like a purebread pekenise does. A blue or west highland terrier is also a good choice though terriers can be kind of tempermental and hyper unless you get lucky and find a calm one.

Yes a bichon, poodle, and many other dogs are "non-shedding" dogs. they still shed, at least mine does but very very little and not enough to bother anyone with any allergies.

My grandmother has horrible asthma and she has had a bichon frise,a poodle and a west highland terrier with no ill efftcts. Also an Old English Sheepdog has hair instead of fur if you want a big dog.

A Bichon, poodle, and a labordoodle are all good for people with allergies. I am sure there are others out there but these are the ones that come to mind.
