Reflux milk allergy or lactose intolarance?

my five month old was diagnosed as having reflux, even tho the gi x ray didn't show anything...he's on zantac and when he gains weight and needs a higher dosage...the acid starts burning his skin and he gets more miserable.

He is on alimentum for milk protein allergy, if he has milk formula he vomits extemely bad, gets diarrhea and passes out. Well he's usually fussy a lot....he'll play maybe a half hour then get fussy and tired, then I have to pretty much rock him to sleep for 30 to 45 minutes, he doesn't show any signs of teething except for drooling and chewing, but there are no teeth visible. I'm just wondering if he could possibly be lactose intolarant instead of allergic....if you have a lactose intolarant baby...what signs did he show?

yeah he did the waterfall puke too...but also cannot have soy, it breaks him out into a rash, and constipates him soo bad he bleeds and

all I know is that when I stopped breastfeeding I gave my baby boy (hes 10 now) a bottle of milk formula, and wow he was sitting up and he threw it up like a water fall. It was amazing, never seen that before so, I told the doc he said baby was allergic, (sines I was also when I was a baby) they said he was also, so he took SOY FORMULA and that did it, he was fine after, and he never was allergic again. so who really knows what happened, but I would defiantly take the doctors advice, or get another opinion from another one. GL
